Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer for Mud Tank
Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer is one of the common equipment in drilling fluid solids control system. In solids control system, it is widely used in Trip tank, Shaker tank(Cleaning Tank), Reserve tank(Storage Tank), Mixing Tank and etc. It is mainly used for agitating drilling fluids, avoid particle in fluids deposit to tank bottom.
It is high-efficiency mud-mixing units offered in a wide array of custom sizes and configurations to accommodate virtually any mud tank. The horizontal drive is designed for installations having limited space above the mud tank.
The Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer stirs mud slurry to maintain suspension of solids. The agitator is mounted on top of the mud tank and has one or two impeller(s) immersed in the mud slurry. The impeller shaft is directly coupled to an electric drive motor that is available in several horsepower ratings from 7.5 to 25.
Structure and working principle of Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer for Mud Tank
The Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer for Mud Tank is mainly composed of explosion-proof motor, reducer, base, shaft and impeller. The impeller consists of 4 impellers (single-layer impeller) or 8 impellers (double-layer impeller) welded together (impeller single-layer or double-layer, Usually, the single-layer impeller is selected for the smaller mud tank height, and the double-layer impeller is selected for the higher mud tank height).
The motor is connected with the reducer and the coupling, and the shaft of the Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer is driven to rotate through the rotation of the motor shaft, thereby driving the impeller assembly to rotate, so as to realize the purpose of stirring. Usually, the centering sleeve is welded on the base of the mud tank to prevent the shaft of the Mud Agitator-Mud Mixer from being damaged when it is working.
